14 year old Emily was selected to join Milestones once a week during term time. She was referred as she suffered from anxiety and low self-esteem. Overcoming difficulties with group work and activities outside of her comfort zone, she is now one of the most confident members of the group and likes to lead group discussions. Coppicing is her favourite activity and she finds the interaction with the natural environment very therapeutic. She is now aspiring for an outdoor career and is volunteering in her school holidays.
‘Can I come out in the holidays for work experience as I’d like to do this for a job?’
Sarah from @gloswildlife has joined us today in Westminster to let her MP know why it’s so important for young people to have a voice in the future of our natural world. She is calling for a #WilderFuture
