24 year old Nathan was a student who felt that he needed to get some practical conservation and ecology experience. Through Belfast Hills Bright Future he got involved in many activities including tree planting, research and numerous wildlife surveys. He also gained his John Muir award along the way. This led to him gaining a placement at Belfast Hills Partnership, where he organised some GIS datasets and helped with children’s education activities. He is now applying his skills and experience as he has started an postgraduate course in ecological management and conservation biology.
