13 year old Jack is adopted and struggles with attachment disorder, which impacts his behaviour. His visited Milestones weekly with his school group for six weeks. At the start of the course he had low self-esteem and difficulty mixing with the group. But gradually he became more relaxed and started showing new group members how to do things. He even gained a John Muir Award! Now he is starting to express his emotions constructively and can listen and talk to the other group members.
‘I think I want to do a job like you, being outside all the time, or being a farmer!’
