Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Your Shore Beach Rangers ran from 2016 to March 2021. Young people were supported and trained in marine environment issues, survey techniques as well as planning, community engagement, influencing and campaigning.
9,716 school children aged 11-16 were involved in the project
666 young people completed the Beach Rangers Academy training
Five new Marine Groups were established
141,000 kg of litter was picked through beach cleans
68 young people learnt policy influencing and campaigning skills
